Documentary: “Pontecorvo: The Dictatorship of Truth"

Directed by Curtis in 1962, 30 years after Algerian struggle for independence from France, this 37-minute documentary includes interviews and commentary by Edward Said, who describes Italian director Gillo Pontecorvo's particular brand of politically-engaged cinema, in all its controversy, with an eye to the anti-colonial themes in his motion pictures.
