2nd Annual Ride for Sickle Cell Anemia Research

The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Hartford, CT is hosting its 2nd Annual Ride for Sickle Cell Anemia Research at UConn Health. All motorcycle riders, passengers, and non-riding spectators are invited to attend.

The day will begin at UConn Health in Parking Garage 1 at 9:00am with registration, a continental breakfast, and opening remarks from Dr. Biree Andemariam. The ride itself begins at 10 a.m., rain or shine, and will finish with a picnic at Northwest Park Pavilion (145 Lang Road, Windsor) with several stops along the way. Individuals who are not riding should head directly from the parking garage at UConn Health to Northwest Park Pavilion for the picnic.

Registration for riders is $25. It is $15 for passengers and $10 for non-riding spectators. A picnic lunch is included with registration.

All proceeds from the event will be directed to the University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc., to benefit the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Hartford, CT Sickle Cell Anemia Research Fund. This fund provides resources for the New England Sickle Cell Institute, UConn Health’s Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated to providing quality patient care to adults living with sickle cell disease. Focus at the center is specifically placed on research, education, and advocacy.
