Human Rights Institute Lunchtime Seminar with Jordan Kiper, Graduate Student, Anthropology Department, University of Connecticut

Title: An Anthropology of Propaganda

Jordan Kiper is a Ph.D. candidate in anthropology. His research interests include religion, violence, and human rights. Kiper has authored over 20 articles and book chapters including a forthcoming book co-edited with Susie DiVietro and published with Brill entitled “Perspectives on Forgiveness: Contrasting Approaches to Concepts of Forgiveness and Revenge.” His regional area of interest is the Balkans, where he has done extensive multi-sited fieldwork with exfighters and survivors the Yugoslav Wars.
