Dr. Colleen Spurling, Assistant Professor in Residence, Molecular and Cell Biology.

This event counts toward sophomore honors. Sharing knowledge is an important responsibility carried out by members of the scientific community. Whether you are studying to become a medical professional, engineer, research scientist, educator, or any of the other career possibilities in STEM -- effectively communicating with individuals without a background in the sciences is necessary. In this session led by Dr. Colleen Spurling (Molecular & Cell Biology) we will explore the importance of speaking to a broad audience as well as the ramifications of inadequate communication efforts.
