Racism at UConn and Beyond: Encounters, Reflections, and Responses

This event will be an open forum for UConn students from diverse backgrounds to share their experiences encountering racism at UConn and beyond. Participants will be able to express their views in a myriad of formats including spoken word/poem, skits/role playing, interpretive dance, pictures, and any form of creative expression. Highlighting the overt and covert instances whereby racism manifests itself through attitudes, actions (and inactions), policies, and practices will enable the campus community to critically reflect upon how to address this prevailing issue on a micro and meso level on campus.
