CLIR - Applications of Graph Coloring

Applications of Graph Coloring: How many colors do you need to color a map? How many guards does a museum need in an art gallery? We will explore the solutions to these questions using graphs and graph coloring techniques. Megan Heenehan, Assistant Dept Chair & Assistant Professor, Dept of Math Sciences, ECSU. Class will be held at Vernon Cottage. UConn Extension's Center for Learning in Retirement (CLIR) provides meaningful and serious intellectual activities for retirees and other adults from all walks of life, conducted in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. There are no academic requirements.
