Everyone has heard if the Salem witch trials is Massachusetts, yet three Connecticut counties also had full-scale witch-hunts. New London County, which did not hang witches, hides secrets of alchemy and natural magic. Dr. Ringel explains New England Puritans' fear of witchcraft and how they acted on it. UConn Extension's Center for Learning in Retirement (CLIR) provides meaningful and serious intellectual activities for retirees and other adults from all walks of life, conducted in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. There are no academic requirements. A UConn CLIR program.
