Join UConn Paws and Claws for documentary screening of 'The Buddy System'! Admission is $2 for UConn students and $5 for non-UConn students. 'The Buddy System' tells the intimate stories of three families touched by autism, who experience meaningful change when a specially trained assistance dog comes into each of their lives. Since founding in 2000, North Star Foundation has placed over 275 assistance dogs with children to help them with their social, emotional, and educational difficulties, as highlighted in the film. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with the producers of the film, as well as Patty Dobbs Gross - a UConn alum and founder of the North Star Foundation. Screening this film will benefit autism awareness, community outreach, and helps to provide assistance dogs for children in need.
