The Hill Film Screening
The Urban and Community Studies Program invites students, faculty and community members to a screening of The Hill. This recent documentary chronicles the controversial demolition of a struggling neighborhood in New Haven for the construction of a new school. It foregrounds residents' fight to stay in their homes and asks difficult questions about the legacy of urban redevelopment in Connecticut cities. The screening will be followed with a discussion with the filmmaker, Lisa Molomot.
