Hear the voice of the Caribbean through the powerful poetry of these three amzing poets!  

Featuring Marianela Medrano:  Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, she has lived in Connecticut since 1990.  Marianela is a poet and a writer of nonfiction and fiction, she holds a PhD in psychoogy.  

Glasima Perez Silva:  Glasima migrated to Connecticut in 1988.  She is trained as a special education teacher and has been shaping minds for the past 34 years.  She is a passionate writer that explores her cultural identity as a black Puerto Rican woman and embraces an erotic feminist perspective through her words.

Aurora is a Dominican poet and fiction writer.  She has two books of poetry, and three books of short stories.  Her work has been translated into a number of languages, including English, French, German, Icelandic, Bengali, and Italian.
