Japanese Knotweed eradication Niantic

Join us in a success story of eradication of invasives! Volunteers are invited to help cut and remove highly invasive Japanese Knotweed (aka Mexican Bamboo) from the banks of Niantic River in the Pine Grove section of Niantic, CT throughout June and September. We’re in our second year of eradication and are seeing GREAT results.

The slope is steep in most areas. Wear long pants, long sleeves and work shoes with good traction. Bring your own gloves, hand pruners and water. Parking location will be provided upon call or email confirming of participation.
