Honors Master of Public Administration (MPA) Info Session

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program in the Department of Public Policy at UConn has a unique program call the "Fast-Track to the MPA" program. This program allows motivated current UConn Undergraduate students -from any major- to "jump start" their MPA degree. The MPA degree is a great fit for you if you are interested in obtaining your master’s in public administration and public policy. Graduates of the MPA program work in Local, State, Federal Agencies and Nonprofit organizations as Managers and Directors; Economic Policy Analysts; Public Financial Analysts; Budget and Resource Analysts, Survey Researchers; Town Managers; Community Program Directors; Educational Finance Analysts; Social Policy Researchers ,Economic & Fiscal Analysts – an many more. This session will focus how you can “jump start” your graduate education while still an undergraduate. In some cases, students have been able to complete their Master’s degree in one additional year after the bachelors. Valerie Rogers, the Department of Public Policy’s Administrative Program Director, will present the MPA curriculum, internship experiences, funding opportunities and discuss the easy process for submitting your application. Attending this event counts toward Sophomore Honors.
