Professor Samet teaches English at West Point. She is the author of the widely discussed Soldier's Heart: Reading Literature Through Peace and War at West Point, winner of a Los Angeles Times Book Prize and a selection for three "notable book of the year" lists: The New York Times, USA Today, and Christian Science Monitor. Professor Samet recently completed a Guggenheim Fellowship and will be speaking about her recent work on war writing. This seminar is co-organized with the Research Program on Humanitarianism.
