UConn Early College Experience Marine Sciences Wokshop

On October 24, 2014 UConn Early College Experience and the Marine Sciences Department invite all certified MARN instructors to attend the annual professional development workshop.

Applying Concepts Learned in Oceanography to the Real World Problems of Warming Ocean Waters and Pollution

Four UConn Marine Sciences Professors will be speaking to the group. The presenters include:

Kelly Lombardo, Assistant Professor: speaking on meteorology

Penny Vlahos, Associate Professor: speaking on plastics in the ocean

Evan Ward, Professor: speaking on the oceans and human health

Hannes Baumann: speaking on the impact of climate change on fish ecology

There will also be a hands-on workshop for our many talented teachers to demonstrate creative lab and field exercises.
