Wagatwe Wanjuki Speaks on Sexual Assault and Title IX

Wagatwe Wanjuki is a writer and activist who first got her start blogging and organizing for social change as a co-organizer of the movement at Tufts University for an improved sexual assault policy. As a survivor-turned-activist, she uses her experience to help the most disempowered to use the power of new media to raise the voices of the most marginalized.

Wanjuki has worked with a variety of social justice organizations, including ColorOfChange, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and Students Active For Ending Rape (SAFER). She also writes on various social justice and feminist issues and is the founder of one of the most popular feminist blogs on Tumblr, Fuck Yeah, Feminists! Her media appearances include The Daily Show and Democracy Now! and her writing has appeared in PolicyMic, Feministing, and ESSENCE magazine.
