Tuesday, October 28 9:30 – 11:00 AM Konover Auditorium, Dodd Research Center Increasingly universities must address local and global complex issues by engaging with key stakeholders outside the academy. This engagement often takes the form of mutually beneficial partnerships that produce and apply knowledge. For academic scholars and staff, this means applying their expertise to real-world problems and collaborating with peers in other sectors who also bring their knowledge and wisdom to the table—a practice known as community-engaged scholarship. Know about the best practices in defining, doing, assessing, and supporting community-engaged scholarship in your work, discipline, and campus. The keynote will be followed by a panel response and discussion with UConn faculty and guests. Please join us on October 28th for an inspiring and timely presentation. All members of the campus community and other CT Campus Compact colleges and universities are welcome.
