Faculty Focus on A&AASI's Victor Zatsepine

The Faculty Focus Series allows students to learn about professors in the Asian & Asian American Studies Institute and their research.

Today's focus is on VICTOR ZATSEPINE. Victor holds a PhD in Modern Chinese history from the University of British Columbia. He recently co-edited “Harbin to Hanoi: The Colonial Built Environment in Asia, 1840 to 1940." He specializes on regionalism and borders in modern China. His current research is about Sino-Russian frontier encounters, migration and social change in Manchuria and the Russian Far East. His talk will be about Chinese ethnic borders: past and present.
