“Multiband Superconductivity at SrTiO3/LaAlO3 Interfaces and in bulk SrTiO3.”

The nature of the emergent superconducting state in 2DEG in STO/LAO interface is of significant interest in the field. The broken inversion symmetry with the polar interface, observations of the magnetic domains are consistent with the significant role spin orbit and magnetic interactions might play in superconductivity. On the other hand some view STO/LAO interfacial superconductivity as modified superconductivity of a bulk STO. I will present arguments for either of these claims. We find that the superconductivity is likely of conventional type with the modifications produced by Rashba interactions.
