Mercy Center, Neck Road, Madison, CT

FEE: $35.00

This is a one-day refresher and emerging issues workshop, designed to be of interest to Coastal Certificate graduates as well as those interested in taking the Spring 2016 Coastal Certificate Program. The Coastal Certificate program is offered to those Master Gardeners (and others interested) who wish to familiarize themselves with current environmental issues unique to our coastal waters and Long Island Sound, while learning about ways to landscape more sustainably.

The workshop will enlist the expertise of scientists, landscape practitioners, and environmental professionals, with topics to include sustainable landscaping (green infrastructure), Living Shorelines (and reef balls!), and a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges of landscaping with native plants.

Lunch is included in the fee.

This class is 2 AMG credits.
