Fuel for Debate

Thursday, November 12, 2015
5:00pm – 7:30pm

Storrs Campus
Oak 101

While many scientists and other world leaders may be in agreement, the climate change debate is still raging in the United States. At the center of this conversation, the Environmental Defense Fund has been working with business and industry partners to study the impact of natural gas, shale gas, and fracking. Join us for a discussion on unconventional gas and oil, including its impact on the economy and environment and its overall influence on the energy landscape of the future. The Leadership Legacy Experience at UConn is pleased to host EDF’s Chief Scientist, Steve Hamburg, as he discusses his efforts to link industry, science, and policy in order to find practical and lasting solutions to the most serious environmental problems. Admission to this event is free. All members of the community are welcome to attend.
