There is no regulatory requirement (state or federal) for farmers to have a GAP food safety program. However, some retailers and distributors want their suppliers to have GAP programs in place. The GAP School will help both farmers who need GAP programs in order to comply with customer demands and also those who want to develop a food safety plan in order to add value to their business, whether required or not.

A certificate of attendance will be provided to those who complete the 2 day course. Pre-registration is required. Each session will include lectures, handouts, a review of the pertinent audit items, and steps for farmers to take to achieve success in each audit section that pertains to their operation.

Registration fee is $75 per person. Registration fees cover program costs, morning coffee/tea, and lunch. Registration materials must be received by March 1.
