Cairo’s Tahrir Square, 2011: An Eyewitness to Revolution

About the Event: While living in Cairo during the Egyptian Revolution, Carol Gray was in Tahrir Square on the "Day of Rage" when protesters were tear gassed as well as on the day that former President Mubarak re-signed.

About the Speaker: Carol Gray is graduate student in the Department of Political Science. In 2013-14, she was a Fulbright Research Scholar at Concordia University’s Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability in Montréal. A former Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar in Cairo, she received a B.A. from Wesleyan University, a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, an LL.M. (Masters in Advocacy) from Georgetown University Law Center, and a diploma in International Human Rights Law from American University in Cairo.
