The Global Refugee Crisis

Friday, April 15, 2016
8:30am – 4:30pm

Law School
William F. Starr Hall (Reading Room)

There have always been refugees: people forced from their home countries by war, persecution, or other types of violence and who must seek new homes and new lives abroad. But the world is now experiencing a crisis of a greater scope and severity than anything it has seen in decades.

The Connecticut Journal of International Law, sponsored by the UConn Human Rights Institute, will explore these issues in its 2016 Symposium. The Symposium will bring together scholars, practitioners, and global experts in their fields for a meaningful exchange on the current refugee crisis, the issues and challenges it raises, and possible ways forward.

Please RSVP by April 11, 2016. To RSVP and for more information, please go to: http://www.cjil.org/symposium.html
