Celebrating Connecticut's Landscape: Fall Foliage Tour

“Celebrating Connecticut’s Landscape”: Fall Foliage Tour on Sunday October 2, 2016 beginning at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington, CT. We will view Connecticut’s fall foliage and stop to see habitat management projects first hand. Participants will learn about Connecticut’s native plants, habitats, and invasive plant management (we will be looking at invasive plant management in the field; both managed and unmanaged areas). Tour leaders: DEEP Wildlife Biologist Peter Picone, UConn Forester Tom Worthley, Dr. Jeff Ward CAES , Charlotte Pyle, Ecologist, David Irvin, CTDEEP Forester, Bill Moorhead , Botanist, andJason Marshall (Conservationist/Sportsman) Also, Bob LaMothe, of Burlington CT representing the CT Sugar Mapling Industry will be speaking at one stop. Charter Bus with restrooms departs at 10:00 a.m. and returns at 4:00 p.m. Bring your own bag lunch and beverage.
