"Embedding Digital Literacy Into Transition Services in a Blended Learning Environment"

Dr. Allison Lombardi, Research Scientist, Center for Behavioral Education and Research

Bring along your breakfast and join us for the first event in our new series, featuring CBER’s Allison Lombardi.

Lombardi, assistant professor in the Neag School of Education, will share highlights of a multi-state scaling-up project that involves implementation of an online transition curriculum in high school general and special education settings. The curriculum, EnvisionIT, emphasizes reading, information technology (IT) literacy, and college and career readiness.

Lombardi will provide an overview of the curriculum’s alignment with federal and state policies, as well as share recent results of several studies, including:

* The effect of the curriculum on reading comprehension and IT literacy skills, and

* A validity study on an accompanying curriculum-based measure, the EnvisionIT Literacy scale.

Future dates: 12/2, 2/13, 3/13, and 4/3
