What Do We Know About Transversity Distribution and the Tensor Charge of the Nucleon

Transversity is a fundamental distribution that describes a spin-1/2 nucleon. The nucleon tensor charge is the first moment of transversity and is important for searches of BSM physics. In my talk I, will discuss extractions of transversity from available experimental data and future prospects of studies of transversity and tensor charge at Jefferson Lab, RHIC, and the future Electron Ion Collider.
