REVISITING THE ROLE OF CEMENT IN 2016

The 21st Annual Herbert S. Pasternak Lectureship

Target Audience: Orthopaedic Surgeons, Faculty and Residents; mid-levels, physical therapists

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to:

1. Discuss review of literature on cemented total hip outcomes. 2. Compare outcomes of cementless vs. cemented femoral fixation, and indications for cemented vs. cementless arthroplasty. 3. Interpret complications and incidence of peri-prosthetic fractures following hip arthroplasty. Identify arthroplasty patients at risk for fracture.

Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
