Please join the Africana Studies Institute and El Instituto for a presentation with artist Stanwyck Cromwell. Stanwyck is a Guyanese-born, second generation artist, and an adjunct professor who has spent the vast amount of his adult artistic life in the United States of America. Stanwyck’s presentation will focus on his upcoming art exhibit, “Progression: Then and Now,” in which he has used his Guyanese past, including cultural and religious practices, as inspiration for his art. Stanwyck’s art exhibit will be displayed at the William Benton Museum of Art from March 23rd through May 10th.
Admission to this event is free. All members of the community are welcome to attend.
