Storrs Campus
ISSS Lounge, McMahon Hall Room 183
When should I see a medical professional? What do I need to bring to my appointment? Should I go to the Emergency Room or make an appointment? Can I make an appointment to see a nurse? Do I need a prescription for my medication? What immunizations do I need? What does my insurance cover?
It is important for international students and exchange visitors to have the necessary information when navigating healthcare in the US, including knowing insurance coverage and being aware of one’s rights and responsibilities as a patient.
Please join Kelley LaFleur, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at UConn Student Health Services, for an informational session about navigating healthcare in the US. This session is part of the ISSS Unpacking U.S.A. workshops on life and culture in the United States. RSVP at http://icworkshops.uconn.edu, as we will serve food.
