Adulting 101: Making Cents of Life After College

Wednesday, April 10, 2019
4:00pm – 6:00pm

Storrs Campus
Student Union 310B

Making Cents of Life After College is a unique financial literacy event that presents as an interactive event based on The Game of Life that will have students participate in a real simulation of their financial life after college. During the event there will be tables that serve as stations for differing aspects of an individual's life, such as "Savings" or "Groceries/Food." At the event, students will be "paid" a month's worth of income that is based on their chosen career path. They will work their way through the various stations and will spend their salary on "real" expenses while filling out a budget sheet that will be provided to them. Campus members will offer valuable information and tips about student loan repayment, taxes, insurance, housing costs, and more. Students will be asked to pre-register, but walk-ins will be welcome.
