State Archaeologist Candidate Q & A Session: Heather Rockwell, PhD

The Search Committee for the position of CT State Archaeologist is pleased to announce that two outstanding candidates will be visiting the Storrs and Hartford campuses in December for interviews and presentations.

Members of the public and academic community are invited to participate in a Q&A session at the Hartford Campus with candidate Heather Rockwell on December 17th.

Heather Rockwell is a Deputy State Historical Preservation Officer at the Wyoming State Historical Preservation Office. She received her PhD from the University of Wyoming in 2014. Heather is an expert in hunter-gatherer mobility and lithic technology of New England and the Canadian Maritime Provinces. She has worked in Cultural Resource Management, federal and state government and university settings.
