"Maintaining the powerhouse: Distinct roles of multiple actin filaments"

Actin assembly have been intricately linked to mitochondrial dynamics. Here we elucidate distinct actin filament populations polymerized by different assembly factors that affect mitochondrial dynamics and homeostasis.

Dr. Chakrabarti completed his graduate studies at the University of Calcutta, India where he worked on regulation of lipid kinase signaling in the nucleus. As a post-doctoral fellow, he has been working on roles of actin filaments and its assembly factors in mitochondrial dynamics.
