INTENDED AUDIENCE: New faculty, staff, students, visiting researchers and other individuals working in UConn laboratories where hazardous chemicals are used or stored

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course reviews the requirements of the OSHA Laboratory Standard and the University's Chemical Hygiene Plan, the health and physical hazards of chemicals, and appropriate work practices, standard operating procedures, controls, and emergency procedures used to protect employees from hazards in laboratories. Attendance at the initial classroom training is a prerequisite for the annual retraining through HuskySMS.
